Alveosphaera Jordan & Young 1990

Description: Coccosphere with elongate oblong muroliths, with central area floored by transverse laths; monomorphic.

Remarks: No fossil record but it would be readily distinguishable from Calciosolenia if found

Type species: A. bimurata
