Genus Pseudoemiliania Gartner, 1969

Description: Coccoliths circular to broadly elliptical with variable number of slits in distal shield.

Remarks: Intergrades with Reticulofenestra minutula in the Late Pliocene and with R. asanoi in the Late Pleistocene.

Included species:

	Pseudoemiliania lacunosa - circular to sub-circular, >12 slits in distal shield
	Pseudoemiliania ovata - elliptical,<12 slits in shield
