Scyphosphaera apsteinii forma dilatata Gaarder, 1970

Description: Form of S. apsteinii with wide distal opening.

Remarks: This form occurs in cultures of S. apsteinii (unpubl. obs. Young, Probert) so probably should not be regarded as a discrete taxon.
