Zygrhablithus bijugatus bijugatus (Deflandre in Deflandre & Fert, 1954) Deflandre, 1959

Description: Medium to large spinose holococcoliths comprising a rim and central process; the spine has a narrow axial canal and tapers uniformally to a distal point or blunt termination.

Remarks: Zygrhablithus bijugatus is currently differentiated into forms with moderately tall spines (Z. bijugatus bijugatus), short spines (Z. bijugatus nolfii Steurbaut, 1990, Z. sileensis Varol, 1989) and spines with lateral horns (Z. bijugatus cornutus).

Range: NP6 to NN1.

Synonym: Zygrhablithus kerabyi (Perch-Nielsen, 1971)
